Expedia, Inc. renews affiliate marketing agreement with Tradedoubler

Performance-based digital marketing and technology company Tradedoubler today announced a renewed agreement with Expedia, Inc., the world’s largest travel company, to continue providing online travel brands Expedia® and Hotels.com® with Tradedoubler’s industry-leading affiliate marketing technology platform to optimise the efficiency and effectiveness of the brands’ private network affiliate programmes.

The new agreement between Expedia and Tradedoubler broadens the companies’ existing relationship beyond 18 European countries into Latin America, and will now include online marketing services for both web and mobile channels. Expedia and Hotels.com will also continue to use Tradedoubler’s industry-leading affiliate marketing technology platform, which should serve to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of its partner marketing.

According to EuroMonitor research, online travel in Western European countries is forecast to grow by an average of six per cent a year, growing from 16 per cent of travel bookings in 2012 to 33 per cent in 2016.

“Travel is one of Tradedoubler’s strongest verticals and we are delighted to be continuing to work alongside the fantastic teams at Expedia and Hotels.com,“said Jon Lord, Group Director, International Sales & Client Development, Tradedoubler.

“Our long-term partnership will ensure we can manage growth targets effectively as we continue to develop and innovate on the network. This includes international market expansion, developing mobile sale channels and building new tools and technology for publishers. After great growth over the past few years, we expect to take the programme to the next level in run-up to the summer peak in 2012,” continued Lord.

“Tradedoubler’s technology platform has proved very effective and we anticipate that their strategy of diversifying the range of publishers in the affiliate network will help us reach new customers and revenues,” said Sabrina Fiorini, Head of EMEA Partner Marketing, Expedia Worldwide.

“Tradedoubler’s ability to incentivise its network to drive more traffic via mobile, and intelligently analyse buying behavior, patterns, and trends makes a valuable contribution to Hotels.com’s growth on the increasingly important mobile channel, said Josie Shah, Director, Affiliate Partnerships, Hotels.com.”
