Development Company furthers eco credentials with Virtualisation Technology
Knowledge I.T recently undertook a project with Durham-based development firm Banks Group, to review their I.T infrastructure & storage set up.

The Banks Group, who are currently developing the Northumberlandia sculpture in Cramlington, were told they needed to fully refresh their server infrastructure at a cost of circa £100,000. But through working with Knowledge I.T and integrating the latest in Virtualisation technology their existing infrastructure has been upgraded, saving valuable Earth resource and furthering The Banks Group’s eco credentials.
Account Manager Janice Wharton explains: “We just felt that there was enough mileage in their existing set-up to not warrant a whole-scale change. Often companies feel older hardware has had its day and ditch it too early, but our Virtualisation experts found a way to prolong the life span with a few simple upgrades and some changes to the infrastructure, back-up and storage systems”.
