QR Codes Can Make Leaflets High Tech
UK leaflets printers, CardsMadeEasy have announced a new high-tech addition to their range of leaflet and flyer printing services. The service now includes the option to integrate QR Codes, turning a one dimensional printed product into a virtual treasure trove of information.
Neil Forrest from CardsMadeEasy said, “QR Codes have been on our radar for a few years now and we’ve spent a lot of time thinking about how we can best integrate the technology with our traditional leaflet printing and printed flyer options. We have already seen a number of clients adding QR Codes to leaflet designs with impressive results and anticipate that this will become more widespread as more businesses catch on to the marketing possibilities QR Codes offer.”
While they are still relatively new, QR Codes are quickly gaining in popularity. Although they appear similar to a barcode, a QR Code is actually a turbo-charged version of the traditional black and white classifier. Unlike barcodes which encode data only horizontally and must be scanned precisely, QR Codes encode data horizontally and vertically in tiny squares, allowing for more data to be processed. They can be scanned by mobile phones and linked to huge amounts of information such as website addresses, business profiles, apps, maps and coupons.
Integrating a QR Code with UK leaflets and printed flyers can add an extra virtual layer to the printed material. The user simply scans across the code with their smartphone and can then be presented with any manner of relevant marketing material from a digital business card to a map pointing to their nearest store or even exclusive discounts and coupons.
CardsMadeEasy offers free design assistance with all orders and can advise on the best placement of a QR Code within the leaflet or flyer. The design team also offers free QR Code generation and free QR Code personalisation.
