A sporting chance…
I was intrigued by yesterday’s comments from Lord Moynihan, chairman of the British Olympic Association, suggesting state school pupils“don’t get a sporting chance.“
He argued that over half of Britain’s gold medalists at Beijing were privately educated, and this should change. Rupert Murdoch threw his two-penneth worth in, suggesting it was an aversion to competition in state schools.
This debate will provoke strong feelings, and whether you agree or not with the sentiments, could we took a look at the business world to prove the likes of Mr Murdoch wrong?
