Phlexglobal expands Buckinghamshire facilities
Amersham-based Phlexglobal, developers of technology solutions for the clinical research industry, has expanded its document management facilities with the opening of a new records centre at Chesham House, Deansway, Chesham.
The announcement marks further growth for the Buckinghamshire company, which was established in 1997 and which opened a US office just over a year ago. This additional facility will enable it to take on more large scale clinical trial administration projects, leading to around 20 new jobs this year alone.
Expanding on Phlexglobal’s previous 2,000 sq ft of storage space, the 12,000 sq ft building has been completely refurbished to provide 8,000 sq ft of specialist document storage space, in addition to staff facilities and training areas for in-house and client courses. The records centre has been fitted with air conditioning, humidity control and a gas suppression system, to maintain optimum conditions for document storage.
Phlexglobal plans to increase the volume of clinical trials documentation that it stores through the expansion, as Stella Donoghue, managing director of Phlexglobal explains: “We have witnessed a boost in demand for our document management services and decided to invest in larger facilities to allow us to take on bigger projects. Our service offerings are widely respected in the clinical research industry, so we wanted to be able to not only match but exceed the expectations of our clients.”
Despite the change in function, Chesham House retains its legacy within the healthcare industry, having previously been part of Blease Medical Equipment Ltd.
Phlexglobal employs more than 200 people in the life sciences industry at its Amersham and Chesham offices and more than 60 at itsUSoffices inPhiladelphia. It is a market leader and specialist in the provision of local and global technology-enabled Trial Master File document management solutions to the clinical research industry.
