Warrington uses rugby match to rally investment interest
Warrington regeneration partnership Warrington & Co are spearheading a marketing campaign to drive inward investment to the area.
Using Warrington Wolves appearance in the Carnegie Challenge Cup Final at Wembley, Warrington & Co and a consortium of local organisations, will launch a series of poster adverts promoting the town.
The campaign has been coordinated by Marketing Cheshire, and is backed by Warrington Wolves and Warrington Borough Council, as well as leading business brands in the town.
Posters will appear in London Euston station, and aims to draw attention to Warrington’s recent recognition as the UK’s leading growth town, in a recent Centre for Cities report.
Peter Crompton, Chair of Warrington & Co, commented: “Warrington has long been recognized as one of the UK’s premier business locations, and the recent Centre For Cities report again provides confirmation of this.
“The London advertising campaign is just one of a number of exciting initiatives aimed at ensuring this positive message reaches important investment decision makers based in the Capital”.
Andy Gatcliffe, Chief Executive of Warrington Wolves, added: “We are delighted that Warrington Wolves has been able to work with our key partners to deliver this important marketing initiative for the town.”
