Property franchise boom

Property has always been a popular career sector, but in recent years the way property management and estate agencies are doing business has been starting to change.

With the internet playing a greater role than ever in the sales and lettings of property, a number of successful online agencies are now growing rapidly through franchising, and are seeking new businessmen and women to drive forward franchises in areas across the country.

A number of now wide-reaching franchise brands such as Surelet, Estates Direct and Belvoir Lettings will be exhibiting at this autumn’s largest franchise event, The National Franchise Exhibition at the NEC, Birmingham on 5 & 6 October. They will be joined by some newer franchises in the market: Concentric Lettings, No Letting Go and Home Sale Bureau; a property sales agency who successfully launched their franchise offering at The British Franchise Exhibition in Manchester last June.

Many of these businesses allow franchise owners to work from home, and some offer new and innovative approaches to dealing with the processes and legalities of property sales and lettings, whilst reducing costs to the customer.

For those interested in property development as opposed to agency work, Platinum Property Partners will undoubtedly make a big impact at the exhibition with their property management franchise. Curious minds should make sure to catch the presentation given by their founder, Steve Bolton, titled: ‘How to earn £50,000 – £150,000 per annum from your own property portfolio’ on both days of the exhibition.

Many of these property franchises will be speaking at the extensive conference at the exhibition, and other titles include ‘Growing a successful home-based business’ presented by Nick Lyons from No Letting Go, and ‘The 6 essential stages to setting-up and running a successful lettings agency’ by Sally Lawson of Concentric Lettings.

Valuable advice will be on offer across the free conference, which includes a packed programme of seminars by the bfa on key franchise-related topics as well as talks on high-level investment franchising, hands-on franchising, executives in franchising, growing your own business and franchising your business.

The exhibition is open from 10am each day, closing at 5pm on Friday and 4pm on Saturday.
