Sisters Act To Become Neighbours At Bailey Grange

Two sisters have made the move to be neighbours after purchasing new homes right next door to each other at the Bailey Grange development from North East homebuilder Dunelm Homes.

The two sisters, Julie Robinson and Susan McIntyre from Westmoor were not even considering moving home when on a chance visit to the Bailey Grange development in Killingworth, Julie decided to reserve one of the four-bedroom properties available on site.

Julie commented: “I visited Bailey Grange just out of the blue to have a look as I know Killingworth is a nice area for families and the houses looked impressive from the outside. After looking around one of the Wells housetypes we decided that it offered a great opportunity for us to make a move into a newer house and decided to just go ahead and reserve. When I took Susan for a look around, she followed suit and reserved the house right next door! “

Julie and Susan will now be enjoying their homes safe in the knowledge that their neighbours will be a very welcome addition to their new street.

Susan added: “I think many people will think the idea of living next door to their sibling might be a little off-putting but I would actually find it strange not to be living so close to Julie. After living under the same roof for so many years we’ve always got along well and our families socialise together frequently, often going on holidays together. We help each other out in all areas of our busy lives so it makes sense really to be living right next door and even though it was more of a coincidence than a plan, we can’t wait to finally move in.”

Both Julie and Susan purchased the Wells housetype, a four bedroom townhouse just a short walk from the centre of Killingworth and one of the developments most popular property designs.

Julie used the Dunelm Homes Part Exchange option to help speed up her house move. Dunelm Homes purchased the existing property with no estate agent fees to pay, effectively acting as a cash buyer to help make the home moving process as hassle free as possible. The speed of part exchange has allowed Julie to move with her partner and two children into the Bailey Grange development as quickly as possible.

Colin Willets, sales and marketing manager at Dunelm Homes said: “Bailey Grange offers the perfect environment for families to enjoy the sociable feel of this particular development. We know Susan and Julie will enjoy their new homes and hope their sisterly bond also makes them the very best of neighbours.”
