Serviced Accommodation Boom For Elite
A North East luxury serviced apartments company is celebrating doubling its portfolio of properties thanks to a growth boom.
Stockton-based Elite Serviced Apartments has expanded its portfolio of properties to eight apartments in Teesside due to the overwhelming demand for luxury accommodation.
Despite the unstable economic climate the company has witnessed the demand for serviced accommodations double in as more customers are opting for a cost effective alternative to hotel accommodation.
Katrina Rosser, managing director of Elite Serviced Apartments, said: “We have experienced an unprecedented demand in 2012 for accommodation as more-and-more people are choosing a home-from-home environment instead of staying in a hotel.
“Our accommodation has been completely occupied for more than approximately 95% of the last six months, which is nearly 20% higher than the UK average.
“One of the major reasons for the significant growth is the amount of repeat customers we have, in particular business professionals who travel to the region regularly for work. We are now planning on adding up to four more properties to our portfolio in the next three months.”
The serviced apartments industry has been steadily growing in recent years. The Association of Serviced Apartments has reported a 2% increase in overall occupancy at 78% and a 3% increase in the net weekly rental for the UK.
The apartments are based around the region, including Yarm and Thornaby. All apartments are fully furnished by interior designers and have spacious living rooms, two bedrooms, private bathrooms, fitted kitchen and entertainment. The properties are serviced weekly with fresh linen, towels, complimentary toiletries and include a welcome hamper.
