Surrey software firm acquire Cheshire clinical services outfit
Surrey-based Advanced Computer Software Group plc has bought Cheshire-based Strand Technology for £2m.
Advanced provide healthcare and business software, and will add Strand’s “CareNotes” clinical care management solutions to its service offering, aiming to penetrate a £100m market for community care.
In the year ended March 31 2012, Strand had a turnover of £1m, and Advanced hope the acquisition will provide access to new public and private sector customers.
Vin Murria, chief executive of Advanced Computer Software Group plc, commented: “This is a strategic product acquisition which extends the Group’s patient care management software solution into the substantial community and mental healthcare market.
