Major website project handed to North East agencies
Two North East agencies are celebrating their successful partnership - after helping Gentoo Group to improve their customers’ experience and, maximise its brand potential through the launch of its new website.
Tyneside digital experts AYO Digital and Durham-based full service agency The Works, joined forces back in August 2011 to help people, property and planet business Gentoo with their website redevelopment.
Gentoo wanted to streamline its existing seven Group websites into one core platform which could talk to both its 70,000 housing customers and, promote its services to a wider audience.
Having worked with the housing provider for several years and after being invited to tender for the project; The Works knew a digital specialist was also needed to make the planned website a success. Fast-growing AYO Digital was deemed the ideal partner due to its knowledge of such sizeable and complex web platforms and its ability to build bespoke content management systems.
Sharon Appleby, Head of Communications at Gentoo said: “From the initial meeting with both agencies, we knew that both The Works and AYO Digital were the right people who could give the Gentoo Group what we needed and what our customers expected from our website.
“The combined technical expertise and energy that both agencies have really made an impact and overall, we are very impressed with how the project has progressed from the outset.”
AYO Digital, which specialises in creating tailored business solutions that involve companies taking products, processes and services online, found the project an ideal fit for their company and hopes that the second phase will be as exciting as the first.
Tony Olanipekun, marketing director at AYO Digital said: “We are very pleased to be working with Gentoo and The Works on this continual development project as it provides an ideal opportunity to demonstrate our technical ability of delivering websites of this magnitude.
“Having worked on several property and utility related projects in the past that have involved substantial user numbers and required straightforward management for the client, we are well equipped and so far, have delivered an outstanding website for Gentoo.”
Now with 16 staff members, AYO Digital has doubled in size over the last year. Its technical experts deliver business critical software that ranges from process management to point of sale solutions. These web-based systems assist its clients in driving efficiency, improving profitability and measuring return on investment.
Established in 2008 by its young directors Rob Mathieson, Tony Olanipekun and Kevin Reece, AYO Media now works with numerous SMEs and large organisations across a number of sectors including fashion, manufacturing, utilities property and retail.
