Consett based Chainsaw carver gets a Twitter Boost

Theo Paphitis Small Business Sunday Award 17th September 2012

Consett based Chainsaw carver gets a Twitter Boost from Theo Paphitis.

A Consett based chainsaw wood carver received a business boost from TV Dragons’ Den star Theo Paphitis. On Sunday, Tommy Craggs @tree sculpting tweeted Theo about his business during ‘Small Business Sunday’, an initiative set up by Theo that runs weekly.
Theo re?tweeted Tommy’s message to his 270,000 followers and as a result, the business www.treesculpting.co.uk has 200 more followers and extra interest in his carvings. He is also profiled on a new website (www.theopaphitissbs.com) that is exclusive to Small Business Sunday winners. Tommy Craggs said, “I sent him a tweet telling him about chainsaw carving and it captured his attention. He thought it sounded interesting and retweeted my message to his 270,000 followers. As a result, I have seen a significant boost in my social media presence and hits to my website www.treesculpting.co.uk. It is great to have support from Theo to raise my profile and Theo has recognised my hard work and helped spread the word about what I do to his following. Given thousands of companies enter the #SBS competition I am particularly pleased and excited to be one of the six weekly winners.” Anyone looking for a re?tweet from Theo should tweet him about their business on Sunday between 5 PM and 7.30 PM and include the hashtag #SBS. Six lucky businesses are re? tweeted every Monday at 8 PM and then invited to enter their profile on the new website. This is done free of charge and the new website is sponsored by Ryman Stationery, where Theo is Chairman.
