All signs point to further expansion for Screentech

Signage and branding firm Screentech is set for expansion after investing in groundbreaking new technology.

The Darlington-based signs, graphics and screen-print company has invested £52,000 in a new machine, known as Agfa Anapurna Mw, which will give it a major advantage over its competitors.

The machine enables printing on surfaces up to 10ft x 5ft on virtually any material and will allow the company to offer even more in range of products available for point of sale as well as accessing the lucrative market for branded interior doors.

The company hopes the acquisition will increase turnover significantly, which will facilitate a move into a new premises which will be larger than its current home, and create new jobs, on the back of the investment.

Managing director David Robinson said: “The new machine saves us time and money, but most importantly it allows us to improve on our services for our clients.

“I would also like to say a massive thanks to Nat West Bank, Lombard and the Regional Growth Fund as we would have not been able to purchase this machine so soon without their help.”

Since investing in the new machine, Screentech has already added trainee sign maker Kingsley Hepper to its team, with more new jobs likely to follow in the coming months.

Screentech was established in 1985 and lists universities, colleges, sports clubs and retailers amongst its growing portfolio of clients.
