Waterstons appoint operations director

Waterstons has expanded its Board of Directors with the appointment of Susan Bell as operations director.

The Board of Directors was impressed with the contribution Susan has made since joining the company less than 12 months ago as Head of Business Technology Consulting. Susan has led projects for customers including social housing provider Home Group and has been instrumental in the establishment of the internal project management office.

As Operations Director, Susan will be responsible for driving operational excellence and raising service delivery standards within the company which provides managed services, software development, infrastructure technology and business technology consulting services.

Susan joined Waterstons from global financial services firm UBS AG after returning to her native North East following a 12 year stint in London. Susan has also held positions at First Direct and Prescription Pricing Authority.

Susan said, “When I returned to the North East I wanted to work for an innovative company with national presence which would provide me with new challenges. I believe my experience complements that of existing board members and look forward to helping develop the company.”

The Business and IT Consultancy has ambitious growth plans which include doubling its turnover to £10 million within the next 5 years.

Alistair McLeod, Business Development Director, commented, “Waterstons now operates throughout the UK and for customers in Europe. In her previous role Susan managed a team of hundreds of people based in offices all over the world. The experience Susan brings to the board of Directors will help the business maintain and improve the service we provide our customers. The appointment further cements the executive team at Waterstons as we look to drive the business forward.”

Recent new clients for Waterstons have included Port of Dover and Manchester Metropolitan University.
