SEASONAL DEMAND SPARKS RECRUITMENT DRIVE

ONE of the country’s leading contact centre and fulfilment specialists is creating 170 new jobs to meet the demands of Christmas shoppers.

Gateshead based Spark Response has started the recruitment process to fill the temporary vacancies with a view to some of the jobs becoming permanent.

With clients including Toys R Us, Soap and Glory, FitFlop, Micro Scooters and Well Mount, all of whom see a significant increase in demand in the months leading up to Christmas, Spark needs to recruit the additional 170 staff to support both the contact centre workforce, who take calls from customers nationwide, and the fulfilment cente, whose staff work to ensure orders are dispatched to arrive before December 25.

Edward Duffy, HR Manager, Spark Response, said: “Many of our clients experience significant increases in sales in the run up to Christmas which means the demand on our resources increases as well. We have to ensure we’re in a position to meet that surge in demand hence the recruitment process we’re undertaking in the coming weeks.

“While the new positions we’re looking to fill are initially temporary, we are a growing company and are always looking to strengthen our team so applicants should see this as the ideal opportunity to impress. If they do that and we see real potential in them, it could lead to something more permanent.”

As well as serving clients in the eCommerce market, Spark also owns and operates its own retail businesses via sister company Spark Etail, including Ethical Superstore and Natural Collection.

To find our more about the jobs being created, contact Edward Duffy on (0191) 4186028 or email edward.duffy@sparkresponse.com.

The recruitment process will take Spark’s total workforce to over 300.
