CBRE Sells Aldgate House in Hull
In a clear sign of investment and growth in Hull city centre, Dutton Moore Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers have purchased and moved into a large four floor office building in Market Place to re-house their busy practice.
The partners at Dutton Moore are showing a keen sign by remaining in the city centre with this investment into new premises to house their busy practice of 60 staff. This week the business has moved into Aldgate House after exchanging and completing on the premises over the summer.
Dutton Moore had rented their premises in Silver Street for more than 60 years. The listed building no longer met the requirements of a growing and busy practice. With many businesses moving out of the heart of the city centre, the Partners at Dutton Moore made the decision to stay and invest in the city and remain where the heart of the business district still lies.
As one of the largest independent firms of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers in the region, Dutton Moore is focussed on remaining on the city centre landscape. The 11,830sq ft building is located in the heart of Hull’s historic old town Business District on 1-4 Market Place and offers 4 floors of contemporary office accommodation.
Tony Bullock, Managing Partner, said: “We are constantly investing in our future and we are delighted to have purchased Aldgate House. Our new home will perfectly accommodate our practice into the future. We remain committed to Hull city centre and this is a clear sign that our future remains here. We don’t wish to move away from the heartland of our City. We are a large business with clients all over the region, but our focus is to stay true to who we are and remain within the city centre.
“The majority of my Partners are home grown talent, trained in our in-house training programme and gaining their professional qualifications with the firm. This is testament to the ethic of the business. We invest in our staff and our business for the long-term and although we are a big practice serving businesses across the region we constantly strive to remain focussed on staying and investing in Hull.”
The sale of Aldgate House was conducted by CBRE’s Leeds Office Agency team. Richard Bean, Senior Surveyor at CBRE Leeds, said; “Aldgate House is a prominent office building that occupies a coveted position on Market Place. The property perfectly suited Dutton Moore’s requirements for a Headquarter building in the centre of Hull.”
