Press Release
PLUMBNATION TOPS £14MILLION TURNOVER AND UNVEILS ELECNATION BRAND
Online plumbing and heating business PlumbNation has smashed through the £14million sales mark.
The announcement coincides with the imminent launch of ElecNation, a sister brand providing consumers with a comprehensive range of lighting and electrical products for the home.
The addition of the ElecNation website forms part of a five-year plan devised by Founder and Managing Director Royden Evans to become a £50million turnover business with further brand launches planned.
Wirral-based PlumbNation’s sales for the year 2011/12 hit £14.1million – an increase of more than 20 per cent on the previous year’s £11.8million.
PlumbNation will also be unveiling a sharper, fresher version of its e-commerce site showcasing more products and manufacturers than ever before. Last year the PlumbNation site received more than two million unique visitors.
The last 12 months has also seen the number of employees rise from 14 to 18 including product specialists and business development managers.
Royden Evans, who founded the Bromborough-based business in 2007, said: “Competition online has never been greater which means that to continue to grow and increase market share we have to innovate, continually add great new products and make the consumer experience as easy and enjoyable as possible.
“The launch of ElecNation forms a key part of our business plan to be able to provide customers with the vast majority of their requirements for the home. We want to become the one-stop shop for home improvement.
“Whether someone is renovating, refurbishing or building a new home, they will be looking for products sold by PlumbNation and now ElecNation. Our mission is to make the buying process as straightforward as possible.
“We are pleased to have grown PlumbNation by more than 20 per cent during the past year and now look forward to harnessing both brands in the next phase of our growth plan.”
