EADS-BAE: how will the suppliers fare?
The proposed EADS-BAE merger seems to be entering tug-of-war mode over the channel. Germany has demanded the group be headquartered in Munich, and over the weekend, Defence Secretary Philip Hammond has said France and Germany must reduce their stakes in EADS.
An estimated 10,800 UK companies supply the two firms currently, so the question for SMEs is: would there be supply chain cuts, or further opportunity?
