Expert advice for businesses at IP workshop

Businesses are invited to learn how to successfully protect, develop and turn their new product ideas into a commercial success, at a full day workshop being held in Crawley this October.

The ‘Understanding Intellectual Property Rights’ workshop is being hosted by UK Trade & Industry (UKTI) and will be led by the Intellectual Property Office (IPO), along with co-host Bang Creations International, who is a leading product development specialist.

The business focused and practical workshop will cover all relevant areas of intellectual property, patents, product design, development and commercialization including licensing, together with export and how these issues are relevant to national and international markets.

Intellectual property rights are valuable assets for any business and the workshop will offer advice on how they can be protected. Delegates will leave equipped with the vital commercial information and knowledge that they need to make decisions about taking their products to market.

Bang Creations International works with businesses, entrepreneurs and inventors to successfully take new product ideas from concept to customer. The company has helped to design and develop hundreds of product ideas across a diverse range of market sectors, including entertainment, retail, leisure, technology and gaming.

Alan Ward, director at Bang Creations International, explains; “We’re delighted to be working with the UKTI and the IPO on this event, which is already generating a lot of interest from businesses.

“Here at Bang Creations we are increasingly hearing from successful and established business people who have noticed a clear need within their market. They have an idea for a product to meet that need but are unsure how to progress and what protections they need to put in place.

“This workshop will answer those key questions, along with wider issues of export and trade, and delegates can expect to leave the workshop with a clearer understanding and useful, practical advice they can apply to their own situation.”

The ‘Understanding Intellectual Property Rights (Multi-Sector)’ workshop is being held on Tuesday 16 October at Crowne Plaza Hotel London Gatwick, in Crawley. Tickets cost £120.00 each, with a 50% discount for UKTI Passport or Gateway clients.
