Live Theatre redevelops The Schoolhouse into Creative Hub
Work has started on The Schoolhouse, located behind Live Theatre in Trinity Court to refurbish and remodel the building into an office space for creative businesses.
A total of five office units will be created across each of the three floors and will be available for businesses to rent from early 2013.
Located within a beautiful historic building, The Schoolhouse will form part of a creative hub lead by Live Theatre, developing a community of like-minded small businesses. The Schoolhouse will offer a high standard of newly refurbished office space in a prime Quayside location close to Law Courts, Quayside, leisure, restaurant and recreational facilities, and good local transport links including bus, rail and Metro.
Broad Chare is amongst the most desirable of business and leisure locations in Newcastle upon Tyne. Its entrance is directly opposite The Sage Gateshead, running off Newcastle’s Quayside between the Tyne Bridge and the Gateshead Millennium Bridge.
Live Theatre itself has been subject to high quality major refurbishment works in recent years and is a fine heritage property located in the heart of the new business quarter of the city. The Schoolhouse will form a further social enterprise for Live Theatre bringing in revenue to support its theatre and education programme.
