Fashion Designer goes Global with E-commerce Website

When fashion designer Alexandra Kay wanted to set up her own business, an e-commerce business selling designer clothes and specialist gifts for boys, she turned to Pulse Creative Marketing for help.

Following a very successful career in fashion working for various luxury brands including Armani and Tommy Hilfiger, working in far flung shores like Hong Kong and Italy, Alexandra returned to her native Sunderland to set up her own brand of clothing for boys. She said: “Inspired by how difficult I found it to buy beautiful things for my nephews, I have always aspired to create my own boys wear brand. Now after having gained experience working at every stage of the fashion process from a cashmere spinning mill through to luxury retail, I am confident I have all the tools necessary to fulfil my ambition. I can’t thank Pulse enough for the fantastic e-commerce website, it’s really easy to use and I’m getting great feedback about the design.’ Alexandra now designs all of the clothes on her website www.cherubinibabywear.com ensuring that “little princes” everywhere have more quality and choice.

The project needed a full e-commerce website designed and built in both English and Italian, along with other marketing activity to promote the website. Alexandra said: “I have lived and worked in Italy for a number of years so know the market well – it made perfect sense to be able to offer the same service to the Italian as well as the English marketplace. Of course, this made the website build a little more challenging! After attending a ‘Marketing Magic’ seminar delivered by Paul Finch at Pulse Creative Marketing I booked a Marketing Review and have never looked back.”

Paul Finch, manager at Pulse said: “Working with Alexandra has been a pleasure and it has been great to see her amazing range of baby wear products come to life on the website. We have a great team here at Pulse that enables us to provide seamless e-commerce solutions whatever the client requires, including the ability for the site to be in more than one language.”

Full e-commerce sites (or online shops) are becoming more and more popular and accessible as online sales go up and set up costs come down. Paul continued: “We have experience of designing and building a range of e-commerce sites, often in more than one language, which is enabling companies to access national and international market places that they could never have previously reached.”

Pulse Creative Marketing offers a FREE Marketing Review where you can discuss your marketing requirements with no obligation. There may even be funding available to help you with any marketing work that you decide to proceed with.
