Are you a social business?

The benefits of using social media in business are growing, with 41 per cent of UK companies successfully using social networks to find new customers and 48 per cent actively using them to interact with, and inform their existing customers.

However, only a fifth of companies say that they are good at measuring ROI from social media.

If you’re pondering whether or not you are a social business over your morning coffee, then don’t fear! Admiral PR is set to reveal the secrets to maximising the full potential of social media for business at a free-of-charge breakfast event held at the Teesside University Business School on Tuesday 23rd October.

As social media continues to open up new channels of communication and capture the imagination of consumers, businesses and the celebrity world, it is important for companies to assess how it can be used to manage corporate reputation, improve customer service and drive sales. Despite the fact that 87 per cent of companies now employ Twitter and 82 per cent use Facebook as part of their online PR activity, only one-third of UK small businesses have a social media policy. Are you one of them?

This two hour event on October 23rd, starts at 7.30am, and is hosted in partnership with the Institute of Directors (IoD), and will see Georgie Cameron, managing director at Admiral PR, discuss social media strategy, channels to market, how to identify the right platforms based on customer preferences and how these can be utilised to drive engagement with target audiences.

Interested? Please email vikki.wilkinson@admiralpr.com and those who register by Friday 19th October will receive a free evaluation of their business’ social media activity, identifying where their business is on its social media journey.

If for any reason you are unable to attend, join the live discussions on Twitter by using #IoDsocialmedia.
