CBRE appointed to market Broad Gate
CBRE’s Leeds Office Agency team has been instructed by Highcross to market 140,000 sq ft of award winning, Grade A office space at the flagship Broad Gate scheme in the heart of Leeds City Centre.
Broad Gate delivers the largest available Grade A office floor plates in the City Centre at 39,324sq ft. Flexibility has been designed into the building where conventional offices suites from 3,500 sq ft upwards can be created for inspirational occupiers. Smaller companies can benefit from the Pure Office concept, offering serviced space with meeting rooms for 1 person and above. Existing occupiers include; Activision, Pure Offices, Environmental and Health Sciences Consultancy, ENVIRON UK, Tigercom and trademark attorneys EIP.
The ground floor of the signature building is home to four retail units housing well-known brands; Sainsbury’s, TK Maxx, Argos and Clas Ohlson and the basement offers 75 dedicated and secure car parking spaces for the office occupiers.
CBRE’s instruction follows the host of successful lettings that the Leeds Office Agency team has previously secured on an additional prestigious Highcross City Centre re-development, Toronto Square, which is another example of how landmark buildings can be transformed by quality refurbishment programmes.
Jonathan Shires, Director of Office Agency at CBRE Leeds, said; “Broad Gate offers Leeds occupiers the quality and wow factor normally only seen in central London. Its large but flexible floor plates mean we can cater for a wide variety of occupiers who can benefit from the grade A specification, the stunning central atrium, and informal meeting space.
“Highcross has an excellent reputation for outstanding refurbishments and Broad Gate is testament to this. We would be delighted to undertake tours of the building with any company who has a forthcoming lease to allow them to appreciate the quality of the working environment.”
Iain Taylor, senior asset manager at Highcross, added: “Broad Gate has attracted a range of lettings over recent months, with Activision Publishing taking 11,000 sq ft and our new Pure Office business centre more than 90% occupied within six months of opening, and we are confident that the appointment of CBRE to join the team will enable us to build on that success.”
