PR and design firm scoop top accolade

A Sunderland business are making waves at home and abroad after scooping an Echo Portfolio award and featuring in international publications.

RGB Media, a PR, design and web development agency based in Sunderland, last week walked away with the Creative Industries trophy at the Echo Portfolio awards. As well asacclaim at home, their co-founder, Adam Wimpenny, has been raising eyebrows oversees.

An interview with the young web designer has been carried a recent edition of online publication NewWebPick, a worlwide e-magazine, and sees Adam, RGB’s creativedirector, discussing the websites he has designed on behalf of clients.

“As a reader of NewWebPick myself and a follower of creative design it was very flattering to be asked for an interview. “ explains Adam, adding, “It’s also a fantastic opportunity forus to showcase the web design work that RGB Media can provide for our clients. We’re arelatively new company but we believe in the quality of our work and we’re very proud to beable to share it with such a wide audience.”

Providing PR and media solutions for a range of clients, RGB Media was founded by Adam and Iraa Kadchha. Both are graduates of the University of Sunderland, with Adam gaining a first class degree before moving on to a Master’s in Software Enterprise Business & Web Development.

Since its inception at the start of 2011 the agency has garnered a number of high profile awards and nominations, with the Echo Portfolio award just the latest in a string of accolades the company is in contention for in the coming months.

The Echo Portfolio award was presented by Graeme Thompson, Dean of the faculty of arts, design and media at the University of Sunderland. Speaking of RGB’s success, he said; “This is a great example of creative industries graduates from the University of Sunderland joining forces to set up a successful business. And I am delighted their talent, professionalism and hard work has been recognised with this important award.”

RGB Media are also shortlisted for the Blueprint Business Planning award and managing director Iraa Kadchha is nominated for Young Business Person of the Year 2012 at the North East Business Executive of the Year awards.
