Telephone systems made simpler for businesses

A growing need has been identified for more portable and flexible telephone systems for businesses, after static systems have created problems and additional costs for firms when they want to move between offices, work from home or abroad.

Bdaily spoke to Rachel Barnes from Reefstream, a company that offers a solution to this problem. She explained more about what the firm offers.

“Reefstream can offer businesses a great alternative to direct dial phones that sit on your work desk. With the handset we offer, you can use it at work, take it home with you, or sit on your yacht in Marbella and use it there.”

“We’ve also just launched an app called “My Phone Buddy”, which allows you to use a UK landline number from your mobile. This reduces costs and allows for flexibility, so businesses can work in any scenario and it is accessible to everyone.”

“Reefstream hopes to reach the international market with the app, especially as users can receive calls without any additional cost when they are abroad, which is a huge bonus and makes significant cost reductions.”

“We expect around 70% of businesses to be using VoIP (or Voice Over Internet protocol) systems by the end of 2013, rather than traditional handsets. Companies can save a huge amount on phone system installations if they’re moving offices or travelling, and it is future-proofed because once it is installed, there is no need to update the system.”
