Francis Brown launch Rapid Response Team
Francis Brown Ltd, the Stockton-On-Tees-based fabrication engineering company, has launched a Rapid Response Team to help meet customers’ urgent fabrication requirements.
Created to support contractors’ management of onsite unplanned maintenance and repair issues, which require fabrication support on an urgent basis, the Rapid Response Team is made up of key personnel with decades of experience across a number of industry sectors.
The new structured service formalises Francis Brown’s extensive expertise in meeting customers’ emergent maintenance and repair challenges.
Available to all customers across the sectors served by Francis Brown, the abilities of the Rapid Response Team will be particularly beneficial to contractors operating in the offshore, marine and chemical industries.
Francis Brown has vast experience supporting maintenance programmes during chemical plant shutdowns and understands the challenges facing contractors when they discover issues that require quick and effective resolution.
The company also works closely with the offshore industry supporting marine contractors operating from the banks of the Tees and Tyne rivers. The Rapid Response Team will deliver short-notice support on projects including modifying chartered vessels to enable the integration of specialist equipment into ship operations, in particular, fabrication support for the renewable energy industry and offshore wind construction & cable installation.
With more than 100 years’ experience serving traditional and emerging industries including the oil & gas, chemical, offshore renewables and marine sectors, this latest development is part of the company’s continuing growth and the expansion of its services to customers.
In the past year, Francis Brown has experienced strong growth with the volume of work increasing by around 20 percent as well as attracting six figure orders from export markets such as China & Brazil. To meet the demand it has expanded its workforce to more than 100, which has enabled the Rapid Response Team to be formed from its most experienced operatives.
Jamie Brown, Managing Director of Francis Brown Ltd, said: “We have built up a very good reputation for delivering high quality, bespoke fabrication, even at short notice. This has led to us formalising this service through the creation of a dedicated Rapid Response Team comprising of some of our most experienced engineers who can meet customer requirements with short timescales.
“In particular, the type of emergent or late identification issues associated with chemical plant shutdown maintenance or breakdowns that require immediate resolution or unexpected alterations that need to be made offshore vessels are ideal projects for the Rapid Response Team.”
