The Crooks & Castles brand was founded in 2002 by “Angelenos” Dennis Calvero and Robert Panlilio. Growing up in ‘villainous’ Los Angeles during the 80’s and 90’s heavily influenced both men creatively and it is this lifestyle that helped develop the essence of the brand. Inspired by independent fashion/graphic brands of the era, Crooks & Castles pays homage to past and present criminals, pimps, hustlers and thieves, most of which form the fabric of the gangs who exist in the hood, the city, and even middle suburbia.
