Eco show lands at North East EXPO

Businesses interested in the low-carbon economy can find out more at a dedicated eco exhibition – part of the North East Expo in Gosforth on November 7.

Eco@Expo is being organised by ClimateNE and Daisy Green Media & Events following the overwhelming success of the region’s first ever Big Eco Show, which they jointly held on 19 September in Sunderland.

Nicola Alexander, from Daisy Green, said: “We were thrilled with the success of the Big Eco Show. Interest in the show was exceptional from the start. The 40 exhibitor stands sold out within the first couple of weeks and capacity for the event seminars had to be increased more than once. The day-long event saw nearly 400 businesses attend and everyone I spoke to told me that they had found the Show immensely valuable and had left with lots of contacts to do business with.

“Eco@Expo is the Big Eco Show’s little brother and will continue to help businesses make genuine connections, collaborate, share information and gain inspiration.”

Over 20 businesses, including Phoenix Taxis, Green Energy Consulting, Lloyds BMW, Glowled, Narec, and Shared Interest Finance, have signed up to showcase their businesses at the dedicated eco exhibition.

Jennifer Atkinson, ClimateNE, said: “The green economy offers enormous potential to North East England and there is no doubt that moving to a low-carbon and resilient economy offers significant commercial opportunities.

“Holding these eco exhibitions brings together and celebrates our ambitious, diverse and thriving business community who are contributing to this important agenda, while sharing knowledge and experience, and providing advice, information and inspiration for others.”
