Apple Store set to open in Cleveland Centre
ONE of the world’s leading technology brands is coming to Middlesbrough with the opening of a new store at The Cleveland Centre.
Stormfront – an authorised seller of Apple products – is opening an outlet at the 494,180sq ft Centre at the end of November.
The store will sell all of Apple’s products as well as offering advice and product demonstrations from Apple experts. The opening is expected to create eight jobs at Stormfront.
Cleveland Centre Manager Debbie Anderson said: “Following substantial investment in The Cleveland Centre over the last few years, we are delighted that Stormfront has chosen to invest in Middlesbrough.
“The store location is perfectly placed for the area and means that customers don’t have to travel to Newcastle or York if they want to visit an Apple store.
“We are excited to have such a respected global brand on board and this really strengthens the offering that Cleveland Centre has, making it a first-class, vibrant shopping destination with a wide range of outlets from fashion, consumer electronics, pharmaceutical, food and entertainment.”
The news comes on the back of Cleveland Centre announcing an increase in footfall year on year with an extra 290,852 people visiting during 2012. Owners Real estate fund manager F&C REIT has invested in marketing activity during the last 14 months including rebranding to The Cleveland Centre.
