NE Experts join forces to help new businesses
Three successful North East businesses, with combined experience of over fifty years, have joined forces to launch a service to make marketing easier for new businesses.
Ignite Media North East has been established by Stokesley-based PR expert, Anna Addison who runs Anna Addison Associates, Dave Charnley- a former newspaper photographer from Dave Charnley Photography in Hartburn, Stockton-on-Tees and Alan Foster- a web marketing expert from Design 365 in Newton Aycliffe.
Ignite Media North East will work with new businesses in the pre-start-up phase or those that have been established for a year or less offering a cost-effective, ‘one-stop-shop’ marketing package to raise their profiles in their target markets.
For a one-off fee, new businesses will receive a package which includes practical PR support and help with compiling and issuing a press release, a set of photographs which can be used for any marketing materials and a general website complete with copy.
Anna Addison, who worked as a BBC journalist for 10 years before setting up Anna Addison Associates, specialises in PR and copywriting services for companies and organisations all over the country including 5* Rockliffe Hall in Hurworth, mobile operator EE, Simon Bailes Peugeot in Teesside and North Yorkshire, Teesside University and award-winning UK-wide franchise company, Simply Bows and Chair Covers.
Anna said: “We appreciate that certain aspects of marketing can be time-consuming, expensive and complicated to negotiate. The three of us have been there ourselves when we set up our individual companies. It can be tricky to get started so we’ve put together a cost-effective package to make it cheaper and easier.”
Counting names such as M & C Saatchi, theUniversityofLeeds, Reuters and various local authorities and charitiesamongst his clients, Dave Charnley, a former press photographer, established Dave Charnley Photography in 2008. He added: “In these harsh economic times, marketing costs can mount up and it can be incredibly tough for a new business to get noticed and raise its profile- or even know where to start. And there often isn’t the funding available to assist with aspects of marketing, unlike when the three of us started out many years ago. Our service is a one-stop-shop for a one-off payment to help a business get started.”
Alan Foster set up Design 365 in Newton Aycliffe eight years ago and now employs a team of seven specialising in web design, web development, e-commerce and web marketing for a range of business and organisations such as D-Line International, The Business Wear Company, Swanflight and Senstronics.Alan said: “We all have vast experience in our specialist areas of PR, photography and web marketing so we decided to join forces as we’ve successfully worked well together on past projects and realise that our services really complement each other. We’ll make the process simple yet effective and help a new business get their names out in the marketplace.”
