BMW announce sporting sponsorship
BMW has teamed up with Synergy Sponsorship in a four-year deal to sponsor the Rugby Football Union (RFU).
The agency was selected by BMW following a competitive pitch to advise on sponsorship, which was announced in April this year.
BMW Group UK will invest heavily in the development of the next generation of English rugby union players and, as the “Official Vehicle Partner”, it will become the title sponsor for England’s Under 16,18 and 20s squads.
The firm will also take advantage of the agreement by promoting through the RFU’s digital channels on international matches at Twickenham Stadium, London.
Synergy and BMW have previously collaborated on “strategy and activation” of the partnership between BMW Group UK and London 2012.
Marketing Director of BMW Group UK, Chris Brownridge, commented: “BMW is delighted to continue our successful relationship with Synergy.
“The pitch demonstrated their clear leadership in their field and an exciting and innovative strategic vision for the RFU sponsorship.”
Tim Crow, Synergy’s Chief Executive, added: “We are very proud to be have been appointed by BMW. We look forward to building on our London 2012 work and helping BMW to make the RFU sponsorship equally successful.”
