Nexus Vehicle Rental has its one millionth booking

Nexus Vehicle Rental is celebrating its one millionth booking after just 12 years in business and has rewarded the lucky customer with a boot-full of goodies. One million bookings over 12 years equates to more than 228 bookings a day, a momentous milestone achieved through Nexus’ game changing IRIS software, which transforms the complicated rental process increasing efficiency and reducing time wastage.

Nexus is a leader in corporate vehicle rental supply, rental management and software and its award winning booking tool IRIS is the most widely used rental management system in the UK. Reaching one million bookings is the latest demonstration of Nexus’ impressive growth which, back in April, was named in the Sunday Times Profit Track 100: a national league table of private companies with the fastest growing profit over the last three years.

Through IRIS, Nexus is able to provide access to more than 400,000 vehicles, including 80,000 commercial and specialist vehicles. With its strong supplier relationships, Nexus can ensure vehicle procurement at the possible best terms. This milestone is a testament to the quality of service provided by Nexus over 12 years and signifies the company’s long term stability despite a tough global economic environment.

Nexus’ Managing Director, John Ellis, said: “Reaching one million customers over 12 years is an achievement unparalleled in the rental outsourcing sector. Our market leading IRIS software, coupled with the drive and commitment of everyone who works at Nexus, is what has made it possible.”

Sean Kelly, from global chemical distributor Univar, was the lucky customer and was treated to a luxury hamper, including a bottle of wine and £100 of Harrods vouchers, as well as a free vehicle upgrade. Nexus surprised him by delivering a Vauxhall Insignia SRI with a 2.0 litre petrol engine. On top of that Univar, which rents around 150 cars a month from Nexus, was provided the rental free of charge.

Mr Kelly said: “The IRIS software enables us to increase efficiency and save time when booking rental vehicles and provides us with increased access to thousands of vehicles through Nexus’ supply chain. We generally make around 150 vehicle rental bookings per month through Nexus so this increased time saving is vital to our business. All bookings are guaranteed which allows us additional peace of mind and we usually receive confirmation within an hour.”

It has been a successful year for Nexus. Besides featuring in the Profit Track 100, it has also recently launched a mobile version of IRIS allowing customers to manage their rental requirements while on the move.

Ellis concluded: “By continuously striving to improve and develop our systems, we hope to carry on seeing Nexus grow and we’re now looking forward to greeting our two millionth customer.”
