Does marketing need that "human touch"?
Bdaily is gearing up for the upcoming ‘Marketing: the art of’ event at Newcastle’s Tyneside cinema on November 20. In the run up we’ve talked with some of the key speakers who are set to deliver their take on marketing in 2012. Insight Marketing’s Head of Client Services, Dan Richards told Bdaily about how traditional ways of marketing should be used alongside methods such as social media and SEO.
“I’ll be speaking about direct marketing at the Marketing the Art of event. Insight Marketing can do online and offline types of marketing, and we’ll be talking about direct ways of finding sales opportunities.
“We’ll be offering one or two thoughts on social media and SEO, etcetera, however we’ll be concentrating on the need for that human conversation that clients need. There are really tangible ways of measuring traditional marketing methods, which many businesses find useful.
“Direct marketing is a great way to research your market, and using things like calls and email are essential for understanding your target market. Social media is an ingredient in this, but having a direct method of communicating to generate leads and sales is really important.”
