Livercool Award winners are announced
Liverpool ACC’s Bob Pratty and Liverpool Community College’s Elaine Bowker were named Man and Woman of the Year at last night’s glittering Livercool Awards at the city’s Crowne Plaza Hotel.The Women’s Organisation’s Maggie O’Carroll picked up this year’s special Commendation Award, Bruntwood’s David Guest received the Property Personality of the Year, the Chief Executives Award was taken by the Crowne Plaza’s Steven Roberts, and Terry Nelson of TNAR collected the inaugural Paul Rice Award.The Livercool Awards, celebrating its tenth year, provides Downtown Liverpool in Business (DLIB) the opportunity to recognise the contribution that entrepreneurs and business leaders make to the economic growth in the city.Liverpool’s ‘glitterati’ attended the “Liverpool Business Giants” event which celebrated the recent achievements and reflected upon the strides the city has taken during the last decade. Downtown Chief Executive Frank McKenna said “The Livercool Awards has always been a fantastic event that recognises some of the individuals that make such a difference to the business life of our city, tonight being our tenth awards certainly made the evening extra special. A massive well done to all our winners, as well as everyone who was nominated.”
