Breakfast Club is ready for business
A BUSINESS club which helps SMEs become part of the supply chains of large companies is getting ready to welcome its latest guest speaker.
Hartlepool Business Breakfast Club meets on the first Thursday of every month and will hold its next event on Thursday, December 6 at 7.30am.
Previous speakers have included North East Entrepreneur of the Year Bill Scott, CEO of Wilton Engineering; Alan Lloyd of Heerema; and Stephen Catchpole of Tees Valley Unlimited.
Next month’s speaker is JDR Cables’ Director Peter Sayles who will talk about the company’s recent £30million investment in the town and how the company increased its turnover by 75% this year. He will also be explaining the supply chain requirements at JDR Cables and how local companies may be able to get on board.
Organiser Samantha Lee, Director of PR and Events company Publicity Seekers, said: “Getting Peter along from JDR Cables is a real coup for the Hartlepool Business Breakfast Club. JDR is a company which has grown tremendously in recent times and is an inspiring story.
“As a small business owner myself I know how difficult it can be getting a foot in the door with big companies. I am also passionate about keeping work in the region and I think it’s great that these big companies are using this platform to try to involve local companies in the big contracts they are winning.”
The Hartlepool Business Breakfast Club takes place on Thursday, December 6, from 7.30am to 9am in Hub 1 of The Innovation Centre, Queens Meadow.
As well as the speaker there will be breakfast and networking. It is open to all small business owners but places are limited. To register, contact Samantha Lee on breakfast@publicityseekers.co.uk or search on Eventbrite.
