Interserve make £26.5m healthcare acquisition
Berkshire-based Interserve have acquired Telford’s Advantage Healthcare, a provider of home care services.
The deal is worth £26.5m and will expand Interserve’s capabilities in the provision of front line services. Advantage has a client base of 500, holds gross assets of approximately £5m, and is expected to report revenues of around £41m.
A statement from the company said the move would open up access to a £10bn community healthcare market. It will also position Interserve to build on relationships with NHS Primary Care Trusts, and broaden its client base.
Adrian Ringrose, CEO of Interserve said: “We see the Healthcare and care at home sector as key growth markets and this acquisition both expands our capability, while also being a further step towards delivering the Group’s medium term strategy of greater front-line service provision.
“As part of Interserve, we believe Advantage’s growth will be accelerated through innovation, enhanced business development across a wider client base and a number of operational efficiencies.”
