Technology firm continues national expansion with medical deal
North East technology firm Eemits has continued its expansion outside the region with a contract to install new radio technology at a major national medical institution.
Billingham-based Eemits, which delivers bespoke communications solutions to a wide range of clients, was enlisted by the Royal College of General Practitioners to revolutionise the communications technology infrastructure.
The firm has installed a digital system that features a repeater, base stations and digital hand portables to enable the RCGP’s London HQ to operate more efficiently.
Because the RCGP building is located in the heart of London, Eemits was tasked with ensuring its architecture and aesthetic beauty was not comprised.
The contract is the latest in a string of deals Eemits has won outside the region this year and comes shortly after it landed work with national transport group Metrobus to install equipment in 130 buses in the South of England.
Craig Matthews, managing director at Eemits, said: “I was thrilled that such a prestigious organisation as the RCGP chose Eemits Communications for its communication needs and it also re-iterates our continued desire to expand our portfolio outside of the North East.”
Ricardo Saroyan-James, ICT project manager of the Royal College of General Practitioners, added: “RCGP chose Eemits in consultation with its partner company, Searcys, which already uses Eemits for other venues in London and will be managing the Events, Conference & Banqueting and Accommodation Services at 30 Euston Square.
“The new system means that we will be able to co-ordinate day-to-day Events, Conference & Banqueting, Accommodation Services, Security, Housekeeping, Facilities and IT activities. Having a system which allows the Security Control room to co-ordinate responses will also be invaluable.”
Eemits specialises in using communications technology to help its customers become more efficient and profitable. For more information on the company visit www.eemits.co.uk.
