Vertu Honda arrives in the North East
Vertu Motors plc, the Gateshead based motor retailer and fifth largest company in the North East, has announced the acquisition of a number of North East Honda dealerships, to add to its growing portfolio.
Vertu Honda acquired the former Springfield Honda franchises in Durham, Newcastle and Sunderland.
The group has a long and successful association with the Honda franchise and currently runs six successful Honda car dealerships and one Honda motorcycle dealership, in the East Midlands and Yorkshire.
Expanding into the North East represents an exciting opportunity at a time when Honda is strengthening its product range with the arrival of the next generation British built CR-V and Civic. The Honda dealerships in Durham, Newcastle and Sunderland look forward to welcoming customers old and new.
Chris Taylor, Managing Director of Vertu Honda, said: ‘We are proud to represent Honda and it’s exciting to be expanding the Vertu Honda brand into the North East. We will offer the full range of class leading Honda car products as well as servicing and parts for Honda plus all other makes. Customers’ needs always remain our first priority; our colleagues are both passionate and knowledgeable about all things Honda.“
Robert Forrester, CEO of Vertu Motors plc said: “We are delighted to be growing our representation with Honda and in doing so, becoming their most significant franchise partner in the UK. These are well established businesses with knowledgeable colleagues, which will complement our Bristol Street Motors operations in the North East.”
“We pride ourselves on operating a business built on honesty and trust and remain focused on delivering outstanding service and value to all our customers.”
