Tribal Group acquire graduate research business for £7.5m
Educational technology provider Tribal Group had acquired International Graduate Insight Group Limited.
Bristol-based Tribal have bought the education benchmarking and student experience research business to strengthen their evidence-based analytical services.
The deal is worth up to £7.5m, and is subject to satisfaction of earn-out criteria based on incremental earnings over the 3 year period ending December 31, 2015.
Graduate Insight Group would across 1,200 education institutions in 24 countries, receiving feedback from more than 1.3m students.
Tribal’s Chief Executive Officer, Keith Evans, commented: “Our strategic priority is to provide our customers with evidence based systems and solutions that will support the on-going improvement of educational outcomes. Quantitative and qualitative technology based benchmarking and analytics is a cornerstone of the evidence base.
“This acquisition will enable us to strengthen our capabilities in this exciting and emerging area, expands our product offering to our existing customers and provides increased access for our existing products to the i-graduate customer base, both in the UK and in our targeted international markets.”
i-graduate’s Chief Executive Officer, Will Archer, added: “Joining the Tribal Group will allow us to access the level of technical skills, platforms and support to allow us to accelerate the development of i-graduate’s products and services and enhance the insight and support we provide to educators worldwide. It will help i-graduate to maintain the market-leading global position that it has established.”
