Epic Times For The North East!
Epic Times is a brand new online magazine focused on the Creative industries, Technology and Culture in the North and it’s all about one word; Inspiration. Mother and Son team Julie and George Sharpe will not only be delivering the latest happenings in these constantly evolving sectors but they’ll also be profiling key people within their respective industries.
Editor George Sharpe says “We aim to blow away the corporate cobwebs and find out what really makes people tick, what keeps their motor running, what flips their switch. Most importantly what inspires them, what ignites their creativity and takes it to new levels.”
They’re also collaborating with Kendal based photography training centre Aspire and creative guru Catherine Connor to create workshops specifically aimed at inspiring creatives in a commercial sense.
Founder Julie Sharpe says “The North east is a cool place to work and play and we have virtually no unemployment in these sectors although there are a lot of small companies and freelancers and they have no one place to gain knowledge, be inspired and bounce ideas online or physically at the moment so our aim is to provide both”
This is all in mind to create a discovery platform where readers can in turn be inspired by other creative or digital folk. Using the latest technology they want to provide a voice for these vibrant and unified sectors that they are desperately crying out for. All delivered via an eye-popping website along with stunning and innovative iOS apps all live now. The website can be found at www.epictimes.co.uk where you can currently swing by to register for the Epic mailing list and the apps are available right now on the Apple App Store http://epictimes.us6.list-manage.com/track/click?u=8860ddb8186c4ae0dc8849847&id=58f2e84fdb&e=11d0f8ebb9
