Hi-tech development enjoyed successful end to 2012

An award-winning business development situated in South Tyneside enjoyed a flourishing end to 2012.

One Trinity Green has been open for business in South Shields since September and in this time, has impressively reached 25% occupancy.

The £5.2m scheme was delivered by South Tyneside Council in partnership with Groundwork South Tyneside & Newcastle. It offers the latest in technology alongside a unique package of ongoing support for growing businesses.

Before the close of the year, three new tenants moved into the three-storey building that features state-of-the-art environmental technology. The businesses are bringing an international feel to One Trinity Green.

Docia is the Scandinavian construction industry?s leading collaborator within digital solutions for project and facility management. They have chosen One Trinity Green in which to open their first UK office.

The second company are Performance Horizon they provide powerful insight into online performance marketing.

Thirdly, Advanced Renewable Power Ltd (ARPower) are an MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) accredited renewable energy company, specialising in the design, supply, installation and commissioning of renewable energy systems for business and home.

Councillor Michael Clare, Lead Member Regeneration and Economy at South Tyneside Council, said: ?One Trinity Green is an important building in the Borough?s business development portfolio. It ideally symbolises how South Tyneside Council works closely with local, regional, national and international businesses, aiming to help them become leaders in their field.

?The building has already attracted international awards and plaudits that add to the scheme?s growing reputation. This status has assisted in drawing new tenants to One Trinity Green, in some cases relocation to the Borough, making it a crucial part of South Tyneside?s economic vision for the future.?

Built by Robertson, the infrastructure, support services and construction group, the scheme [One Trinity Green] was recently crowned the world?s greenest office development of the year at the BRE (Building Research Establishment) Awards 2012.

One Trinity Green benefited from £2,466,500 invested by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), managed by the Department for Communities and Local Government.
