Big Eco Show comes to Newcastle
Businesses interested in the low-carbon economy can find out more at the Big Eco Show in Newcastle on 18 April.
The Show, held at the Centre for Life in Newcastle city centre, will bring together and showcase businesses from across the region operating in the low-carbon and climate resilient economy. It will focus on how businesses can grow, thrive and build their resilience within the green economy.
It is being organised by Daisy Green Media & Events and ClimateNE following the overwhelming success of the region’s first ever Big Eco Show, which was last September in Sunderland.
Nicola Alexander, from Daisy Green, said: “We’re very excited about holding the second Big Eco Show; the first one saw exhibitor stands selling out within the first couple of weeks and nearly 400 businesses attended – double the number we anticipated. There is a clear need to hold these Shows. Those who came along last time told me that they had found it immensely valuable and had left with lots of contacts to do business with and plenty of ideas and inspiration.”
The day-long event will include an exhibition, key note speakers, networking sessions and workshops.
Jennifer Atkinson, ClimateNE, said: “The Big Eco Show is a fantastic way to showcase the rapidly growing number of green businesses here in North East England while providing advice, information and inspiration for others. Ultimately, the Show is the place to be for those wishing to gain inspiration and ideas around the green commercial opportunities to assist business growth, improve resilience to the impacts of climate change, and to reduce costs by cutting emissions.”
