Big Move For Recruitment Company

North East based recruitment expert CY Partners is looking to double its workforce this year after expanding into new premises.

The independently-owned consultancy, which specialises in selecting candidates for complex roles in the scientific, pharmaceutical, technology and engineering industries, has moved from Gateshead to new offices at the Newburn Riverside Centre in Newcastle.

Its new 800 sq ft space is twice as big as its former residence and follows several major new client wins and a recruitment drive of its own that has taken its staff count to five. The company has invested heavily into the site and is aiming to have ten staff by the end of 2013.

Now in its fifth year, CY Partners has experienced significant growth on a national level with over 160 clients using its services to find staff. It has also strengthened its recruitment and administration teams by taking on a further three employees to assist with its expansion.

Daniel Younger, managing director at CY Partners, said: “Over the last year, we have won several new projects both with local companies and large national companies such as Glythera and Leica BioSystems, which has given us a solid platform to invest in the business.

“With increased demand for our services, we knew we had to bring in more resource and expertise, so coincided this with the move to our bigger premises. In-line with the investment, we expect to double our workforce this year and the new site will better accommodate our growing staff numbers.

“Furthermore, we invite many candidates and clients into our offices so having improved facilities that better reflect our professional image is also important. We also encourage our existing clients to use our boardrooms for interviewing potential new staff, which strengthens our relationships with our customers.”

Established in 2008, CY Partners is owned by Daniel Younger and Probier Chatterjee who have around 20 years’ experience of industry specific recruitment. The team works with companies that struggle to find suitable candidates for unusual or very specialist roles.

It primarily operates within the pharmaceutical, chemical, FMCG, medical device and engineering sectors and its portfolio includes: SCM Pharma, Johnson Matthey, Geneius Laboratories, The Specials Laboratory and Leica Biosystems.
