IT and telecoms sponsors for Startup Britain
StartUp Britain has announced it has teamed up with a market leading British IT and telecoms provider.
BT Business is set to work closely with the national enterprise campaign to encourage more Britons to consider starting a business. BT will reach out to new businesses with information about how technology can help their people. And in particular technology products and services that can help establish and grow a business, including packages available for start-ups and advice on things to consider from a communications and IT point of view.
To celebrate the sponsorship of StartUp Britain, BT Business has created a new Start Ups hub on its Business Insight website. The site features information on how technology can save you time and money, website design and management, BT finance, case studies and business articles. This can be found at bt.com/startup.
The company’s sponsorship will provide the essential on-going support that makes the campaign’s work possible.
StartUp Britain co-founder Emma Jones said: “We are delighted that BT Business has come on board to help us to continue our work to support and encourage start-up businesses and fuel British economic growth. We’re seeing record numbers of people becoming their own boss and long may it continue.
“BT’s commitment to do its bit for the British economy is a great example of big helping small – which is essential for the future economic health of the nation.
“We are looking forward to working with them over the coming year.”
BT Business Marketing Director, Nick Ratcliffe said: “We’re proud to sponsor StartUp Britain. With over 50,000 start-up businesses joining us each year, we’ve had lots of experience helping new companies find the communications and IT that helps them on their way.
“We provide everything from our starter package which gives businesses calls, line rental and broadband from just £1.43 a day, to products that help design and build a website. And with BT’s continued rollout of superfast broadband across the UK, more and more businesses are able to work in a new and improved way to drive growth. “
The company will be joining other prestigious sponsors including Dell, Intuit, PayPal, Intel and iris.
The StartUp Britain campaign will embark on a fresh set of initiatives this year including announcing an extension of PopUp Britain which gives start-up businesses an affordable access to the high street via empty shops.
