Funeral group acquires 40 Northern locations
Funeral Group Dignity is set to acquire Yew Holdings for a total cash consideration of £58.3m.
The acquisition will give Dignity 40 funeral locations and two crematoria in the North of England.
To minimise competition concerns, Dignity will not acquire 20 funeral locations traditionally operated by Yew.
Dignity will also take control of Yew’s 9000 outstanding pre-arranged funeral plans, and intends to sell its own pre-arranged funeral plans through the new Yew branches post completion.
In a separate announce, the Board of Dignity also announces a fully underwritten placing of 2,283,019 new ordinary shares in Dignity to raise roughly £24.2m before expenses.
