Astley Facades Gains Green Deal Accreditation

Astley Facades, a leading UK provider of external wall insulation, has been awarded the PAS 2030 accreditation by the EST (Energy Savings Trust), allowing them to carry out work under the government’s new energy efficiency programme – the Green Deal and the new Energy Company Obligation (ECO).

As a fully accreditated Green Deal Installer, Astley Facades will now carry out work for Green Deal providers across the whole of the UK from its offices in Northamptonshire, County Durham, Lancashire and Scotland.

Astley Facades has been involved in a number of successful projects including the re-development of Kirkcaldy Hospital in Fife, the flagship Hulme Towers re-development in Manchester and the award winning Cruddas Park apartment block in Newcastle.

Launched at the end of January, the Green Deal is the Government’s flagship carbon emission reduction policy both for domestic and non domestic properties.

Astley Group and its four subsidiaries joined People, Planet and Property company Gentoo in September 2012.

The integration of the two organisations will help to strengthen the existing market leading positions of both Astley and Gentoo within the growing domestic and non-domestic energy efficiency market. The pair have formed a hybrid business that will deliver diverse and unique retrofit services aimed at growing Astley’s expansive customer portfolio, increasing its existing market share and maximising the funding solutions available to it through the Green Deal and new Energy Company Obligation (ECO).

Astley Group’s management team will continue to work closely with Gentoo to ensure a smooth transition between the two organisations.
