The Lighthouse Company bolsters board management team
Bespoke media headhunting firm, The Lighthouse Company has today announced that Sinead Greenaway, most recently CEO of MediaCityUK, joins the company’s executive management team as managing director, to support and strengthen its leadership position and ambitious international growth plans.
Utilising Sinead’s extensive experience of managing large and multi-disciplined teams and businesses, across the broadcast, production and technology space, she will now take over the operational running of The Lighthouse in London as founder Kathleen Saxton further expands the business vertically and geographically. In October 2012, after just three years in business, The Lighthouse Company opened its first office in New York City to address the need for a new “agent” style representation for those in and seeking leadership roles within the media and communications industry in the US.
Sinead will also focus on growing the ability of the Lighthouse to execute searches across the COO, CFO, CTO level within media and technology businesses.
“After an extensive search I am thrilled that we have managed to attract and sign such a brilliant leader and know Sinead will bring a wonderful new dimension to all that we do.” Said Kathleen Saxton, founder of The Lighthouse Company, “As with any growing business, our people are imperative to the future of what we are building at our Lighthouse and I am excited to have Sinead on board to expand our proposition to clients and strengthen the Lighthouse leadership.”
“Over the past twelve months, The Lighthouse Company has rapidly expanded their operations in London and further afield. It’s certainly an exciting time to join this organisation and I look forward to working with the team and client community as we deliver best-in-class services. My hope is that my natural curiosity, along with my experience in constructing multi-disciplined super teams will serve me well in the sphere of headhunting.” commented Sinead.
As the former Chief Executive of The Studios, MediaCityUK, Sinead launched the business and led the teams delivering production and media services to both the BBC and other independent production companies. In a start-up unlike any other, since opening in 2011 The Studios successfully produced hundreds of iconic shows in its first year of trading including Match of the Day, Sports Personality of the Year, Blue Peter, A Question of Sport, Dragons Den, Sarah Millican and Frank Skinner’s Opinionated.
She joined MediaCityUK in October 2009 from Virgin Media Television where she held a number of senior roles including Operations and IT Director and where she implemented one of the first end to end tapeless broadcast workflows in the U.K. Prior to this, she spent over fifteen years in commercial radio leading operational and technical teams across the UK for Emap Performance, the multi-platform broadcast, print and digital division of the former Emap plc, now Bauer Media.
