Keen Home cook launches Mrcookshop.com

New research has confirmed the spectacular rise of home baking - with millions of people now baking every day, and more and more men being bitten by the bug.

Mintel’s new home baking report shows that 79% of adults now bake at home, 23% do so at least once a week and 6% - that’s 3m - bake on a daily basis. In the last year 9m home bakers have upped their baking.

Seven in 10 men now say they are doing baking at home and one of those is website developer, Richard Stone, from Gosforth who has launched his own online cookshop www.mrcookshop.com

Richard does most of the cooking for his family and has always taken an interest in purchasing good quality cookware, which inspired him to launch a new business.

Richard has a strong retail background, having worked for and in partnership with many of the UK’s major High Street retailers. Over the last 4 years, Richard has been working with his partner as a website designer in their successful Newcastle-based marketing business, Vicki Stone Marketing.

Richard says “When you are purchasing cookware, you want it to be good quality and you want it to last.”

He adds – “From the word go, we’ve listened to what customers say, even when we conducted our initial market research. We asked people what the worst cookware items they had bought in the past and what they couldn’t live without and heard many weird and wonderful stories, which inspired me to go for it and set up my own cookshop business.”

He continues, “At Mr Cookshop we work with the leading manufacturers of quality brands and we also stock items from smaller niche independent companies based in the UK. We’re so passionate about our products and how they can make a difference to enhance and improve a growing experience of cooking from home.”

You might see some of Mr Cookshop’s products being used by the leading chefs, foodies, and home cooks where style, performance and functionality are high priority.
