Collingham Pub to Become Tesco Express

CBRE’s Specialist Markets Team, acting on behalf of Enterprise Inns plc, has let part of the former Old Star Public House in Collingham, Wetherby to Tesco for the creation of a new Tesco Express store.

The Old Star has been derelict for some 18 months since trading ceased and the sympathetically designed Tesco Express store will breathe new life back into the redundant site and create around 20 new jobs. The circa 4,000 sq ft store will be open for business in early Summer 2013.

Sam Frankland, Director of Specialist Markets at CBRE Leeds, comments; “Tesco will provide local residents with an attractive local amenity to meet their needs and there is now the opportunity for another business to locate adjacent to the Tesco within the remaining space in the large, stone building.”

Unit 1 in the original part of the pub is now available to let and could suit a retailer, coffee shop, dry cleaners or takeaway types of business for part. CBRE is marketing the remaining space in the property and welcomes hearing from anyone in the local community with ideas for its future use.
