Is 2013 The Unlucky Number For The Rentals

As superstitions run high at the start of 2013 with the ominous number ‘13’, you would be forgiven for thinking that the 2013 property forecast would be looking rather glum, but according to Taiwo Oryshayomi (34), author of Rent2Rent, this is simply not the case.

Experts are claiming that throughout 2013, the shortage of stock will mean that there is a quick turnaround on rental properties which will also result in fewer void periods.

The sales market however is expected to be effected by the notorious bad luck of the number ‘13’, with critics warning that in some parts of the country, such as Scotland and the North, property prices will dip by up to four per cent.

Of course this is good luck for those with the money to spend or the shrewd purchaser looking for a New Year bargain.

Taiwo Oryshayomi, author of Rent2Rent, a new book teaching avid investors how to increase their passive income to £10,000 a month in as many months, said: “The market is split three ways. It is a great time for the residential landlord to invest in property, a bad time for homeowners wanting to sell with the predicted reduction in property prices, and those looking for properties to rent may be hit with increased competition for good accommodation and increased monthly rents.

“Landlords looking to expand their portfolios should do so now, many investors can get a great bargain or make use of many offers if they take the time out to research what is available to them.

“Now is the time to put a strategy in place that will increase rental expectations and make the most of the buoyant time, Rent2Rent means taking control of a property from a struggling landlord and letting each room out individually to corporate working tenants. I would advise any investor looking to make the most of the current conditions to get in touch with me, within 10 months you could receive a regular income that does not require much hard work to maintain, now is the ideal time to put such a strategy in place.”
